Look: Right Now Hundreds Are Protesting At The Dental Office Owned By Killer Of Cecil The Lion

The killing of a beloved lion in Zimbabwe has unleashed a torrent of outrage, and it’s gone local, at the office of the man who shot and killed Cecil.

It’s called “Minnesota nice,” the belief that people from Minnesota are, well, nice, courteous, well-mannered, self-deprecating, polite, and restrained.

Through that lens, take a look at the anger and outrage displayed in these images of hundreds of Minnesotans who right now are descending on the office of Dr. Walter Palmer, the Bloomington dentist who killed Cecil the lion.

Cecil, of course, was a 13-year old protected lion beloved by tourists to Zimbabwe around the world.

Palmer admits to killing Cecil, although he claims he thought it was perfectly legal.

Palmer was convicted of lying to wildlife authorities in the U.S. before.

A “big game” hunter, Palmer paid about $55,000 to hunt Cecil.

He shot him with a bow and arrow, and when that didn’t end Cecil’s life, Palmer for the next 40 hours, hunted Cecil down and ultimately shot and killed him with a shotgun.

Americans are outraged, and this has become one of the biggest stories in recent weeks.

Take a look at these images, and remember, if Minnesotans are displaying this much anger, imagine how the rest of the nation feels.

“Justice for Cecil,” protestors chant.

There’s a rapidly advancing petition on the White House’s website calling for the extradition of Dr. Palmer to face charges in Zimbabwe. Sign it and share it with as many people as you can.
