Breaking: Trump Financial Disclosure Says GOP Frontrunner’s ‘Massive Wealth’ More Than $10 Billion

Donald Trump surprised many today by released a financial disclosure form and very self-congratulatory statement about the billionaire’s net worth and abilities.

In order for Donald Trump – or any candidate – to continue running for president, he – or she – has to file a financial disclosure statement with the Federal Election Commission (FEC). Surprising many who thought Trump would bow out of the race before disclosing personal and private financial information, Trump today released a statement, a very egotistical and self-congratulatory statement, that claims the GOP frontrunner is worth more than $10 billion, with income in 2014 of $362 million.

“First people said I would never run, and I did. Then, they said, I would never file my statement of candidacy with the FEC, and I did. Next, they said I would never file my personal financial disclosure forms. I filed them early despite the fact that I am allowed two 45 days extensions,” Trump’s press release states. “Now I have surged in the polls and am fighting to Make America Great Again. I look forward to the challenge of winning the presidency and doing a fantastic job for our country. I will make the United States rich and strong and respected again, but also a country with a ‘big heart’ toward the care of our people.”

Trump is correct – he is surging in the polls, and is now number one on some of the most-recently released polls.

The billionaire’s statement also includes his characteristic egotistical back-patting.

“This report was not designed for a man of Mr. Trump’s massive wealth,” the statement complains. “For instance, they have boxes once a certain number is reached that simply state $50 million or more. Many of these boxes have been checked. As an example, if a building owned by Mr. Trump is worth $1.5 billion, the box checked is ‘$50,000,000 or more.'”

For some reason, Trump is actually appealing to conservatives, with 57 percent of Republican voters viewing him favorably, while 40 percent still see him unfavorably.

Last week, Washington Post columnist Dana Milbank wrote it has been “amusing to watch the brands — the PGA, NBC, Macy’s, NASCAR, Univision, Serta — flee Donald Trump after his xenophobic remarks. Who even knew The Donald had a line of mattresses featuring Cool Action Dual Effects Gel Memory Foam?”

“But there is one entity that can’t dump Trump, no matter how hard it tries: the GOP. The Republican Party can’t dump Trump because Trump is the Republican Party.”
