Breaking: Judge To Order Bill Cosby To Give Deposition In Alleged Sexual Assault Case Of 15 Year Old

Bill Cosby will be ordered to give a sworn deposition in a case involving the alleged sexual assault of a 15-year old girl back in 1974. 

By the end of this week a California judge in Santa Monica will order Bill Cosby to give a sworn deposition in a civil case that dates back to 1974. Attorney Gloria Allred says she is working to ensure Cosby is deposed by the end of September.

“We are going to get him on record,” Allred told KTTV/Fox 11. “We are going to be very vigorous in our questioning of Mr. Cosby and we do expect his attorneys will make as many objections as legally appropriate.”

Cosby is accused in this case of sexually assaulting a 15-year old in 1974 at the Playboy Mansion.

Allred says also would “would like to ask him about a number of the other accusers because I believe it shows, or it could prove, a pattern and practice of Mr. Cosby or his motives.”

Asked about this week’s cover of New York magazine, which features 35 of the 46 women who have come forward to accuse Cosby. KTTV reports many of those women are clients of Allred’s.

“I thought it was a very powerful cover, a very beautiful cover, very compelling,” Allred told KTTV. “I was moved, not only by the women’s courage of the women who appeared, but also by that empty chair. That empty chair represents the many women who have made accusations against Bill Cosby and who have not yet come forward. It is very empowering for any woman who has been raped by anyone and who have not been able to speak out before.”
