Fox News Contributor: US Christians Being Persecuted Just Like Jews Before Holocaust (Video)
A megachurch pastor and Fox News contributor insists America’s Christians are being treated the same way as Hitler’s Germany’s Jews were, before the Holocaust began.
In his continuing series “Christians Under Attack,” Fox News host Sean Hannity on Monday unleashed Dr. Robert Jeffress, allowing him to do what he does best: fear-monger, distort, and hate.
Jeffress, a Fox News contributor and megachurch pastor, holds views that are so extreme even the religious right’s beloved Tim Tebow decided to cancel a speech he had scheduled to make at Jeffress’ church.
Hannity played a short clip of Bill Maher‘s excellent “New Rules” segment from last Friday, during which the liberal comedian and pundit called BS on the growing faux meme of Christians being persecuted.

Jeffress started the segment with his often repeated falsehood.
“Christians,” Jeffress falsely claimed, are “losing their business because they believe in traditional marriage.”
“This isn’t imaginary,” Jeffress said of Christian persecution. “It’s real. And sure, it doesn’t rise to the level of having your head chopped off by ISIS in the Middle East, but it’s all the same attitude that allows for those attacks.”
“I want to remind people that, you know, the Nazis weren’t able to take the Jews to the crematoriums, immediately,” Jeffress said, without a moment of remorse. “The German people wouldn’t have allowed for it. Instead, the Nazis had to change public opinion. They marginalized the Jewish people, disparaged them, and make them objects of contempt.”
Hannity interrupted, ensuring Jeffress really thinks “Christians are being marginalized the way Jews in Germany were?”
“Absolutely. They are being marginalized right now,” Jeffress insisted. “Treated as objects of contempt by the media and once that happens then the taking away of further rights will be very easy.”
Ironically, Jeffress has been at the forefront of a movement that for decades has been treating LGBT people “as objects of contempt” and working to ensure their rights were not only taken away, but never granted. And ISIS and the Nazis had no problem treating Christians and LGBT people the exact same way. Perhaps some perspective would be a good place for the good pastor to begin.
