Hillary Clinton responds to the rash of Republicans announcing their candidacy for president, by being the adult in the room.
Over the past few days, Republican presidential hopefuls have treated Americans to a rash of presidential campaign announcements detailing how great our country was before Barack Obama became president. Apparently when Richard Nixon, Gerald Ford, Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, and George W. Bush ran the nation (into the ground), everything was roses and sunshine, all the children were raised by strong mom-and-dad traditional families who went to church every Sunday, were well-educated, and were raised to do great things. Once Barack Obama took the White House, the economy turned to slush, kids started dropping out of school, and the gays started marrying (OK, that last part is true, fortunately.)
So Hillary Clinton just posted a tweet reminding America who the real adult is:
In case you’ve missed any, Mike Huckabee, Ben Carson, Carly Fiorina, Marco Rubio, Rand Paul, and Ted Cruz have now all announced.
We should be “safe” from any more announcements for a few weeks.
