Breaking: Rick Santorum Says He’s Running For President

Former GOP presidential candidate Rick Santorum says he’s giving another shot at winning the White House in 2016.

Rick Santorum thinks this time he can win the White House. The 57-year old former U.S. Senator from Pennsylvania today told ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos he is definitely running, and will sit down with the ABC news man this afternoon.

Santorum, he tried but failed to win the GOP nomination in 2012, will face a large number of Republican opponents, and as it stands right now, will not be standing on stage for the first GOP debate. Fox News has decided only those candidates polling in the top ten will be eligible.

Santorum faces an electorate far different from the one that gave him some mild success four years ago. Today, Americans are largely in favor of every social issue Santorum opposes, and his fiscal policies have never been heralded as especially innovative.
