‘Touch Me Again, I’ll Drop Your Ass’: Anti-Gay GOP Congressman Thug Threatens Constituent (Video)

Clearly displaying disdain for his constituents, one GOP House Rep. had a few threatening words for a protestor who shook his hand and warmly patted his shoulder.

Freshman Republican U.S. Congressman Steve Knight of California was caught on video engaged in a conversation on the street with a few constituents who were protesting his vote on an immigration bill.

The video begins with the Congressman shaking the hand of one protestor, whom he calls Mike. The handshake does seem a bit long, but as Mike moves back into the crowd, he warmly pats the Congressman’s shoulder, almost in a paternal manner, and that’s when Knight drops into thug mode.

“You told me you didn’t vote for amnesty and you did. I looked it up on the Internet. You lied to me,” Mike says.

“Okay Mike, hey,” Rep. Knight says, leaning in, “If you touch me again, I’ll drop your ass.”

Congressman Knight’s website notesKnight became a Police Officer with the City of Los Angeles, where he served on the front lines for over 18 years. In 1995, Knight was hand-selected to join the Community Resources Against Street Hoodlums (CRASH) team to combat street gangs.”

Presumably, the men standing behind the Congressman are his staffers.

As a California State Assemblyman, Knight voted in favor of Prop 8, stripping same-sex couples of their right to marry.
