Christian Auto Repair Owner Doubles Down: Gays Are Evil, I Need To Protect My Kids From Them

The Michigan auto repair shop owner who refuses to serve gay people has written yet another new Facebook post, one that is even more anti-gay than the first: “my business and my home will be protected from evil to the best of my ability.”

Brian Klawiter appears to have no intention of calling a truce in his attacks on gay people. The owner of a Grandville, Michigan auto repair shop who this week unleashed an unprovoked anti-gay screen on his business’ Facebook page has become a national example of why LGBT people need legal protections and why “religious freedom” laws are dangerous to society.

Klawiter, who owns Dieseltec, first wrote on Tuesday, “I am a Christian. My company will be run in a way that reflects that. Dishonesty, thievery, immoral behavior, etc. will not be welcomed at MY place of business. (I would not hesitate to refuse service to an openly gay person or persons. Homosexuality is wrong, period. If you want to argue this fact with me then I will put your vehicle together with all bolts and no nuts and you can see how that works.)”

Since then, the media has revealed that Klawiter is running his business without a business license, and a spokesperson for the Michigan Secretary of State’s office says, “Klawiter is not a licensed mechanic.” He also reportedly has had several run-ins with the law.

On Saturday, Klawiter took to Facebook once again, insisting he is “not a hateful person,” but “a frustrated person.”

Klawiter took on his critics who have reminded him that Jesus would not have turned away LGBT people.

“He wouldn’t,” Klawiter agreed. “However, Jesus did not have young children to protect.”

It’s unclear how not fixing the engine of a gay person’s car or truck protects his young children, but the answer might lie in the rest of his statement, in which he calls gay people evil.

“My family can not watch TV or go to very public places anymore without being exposed to a disturbing amount of evil. What rights are the LGBT fighting for? Is it the right to expose our children to their naked bodies while participating in a gay pride parade? How is that equality?”

Then he adds, he will protect his family and his business from evil.

“The environments that I have control over (where I am responsible for what occurs) including my business and my home will be protected from evil to the best of my ability.”

Klawiter also points to his service as a paramedic and firefighter as proof he is “an all inclusive and loving person,” although he admits, “we are ALL sinners.”

“I love each and every one of you, but not as much as Jesus did, he allowed himself to be killed just for you.”
