3001 Days From Start Of His Last Presidential Run, Mike Huckabee To Announce Something Tonight
Former governor and GOP presidential candidate Mike Huckabee will reportedly announce when he will announce his decision on his candidacy for president yet gain, tonight.
On January 28, 2007, while on Fox News, Mike Huckabee announced his run for president. Ultimately, he withdrew from the race. Four year later, on May 14, 2011, the former Arkansas governor told the world, from the set of his Fox News show, “Huckabee,” that he would not run for president this time, because he prayed to God and realized his heart just wasn’t in it.
“I’m a believer and follower of Jesus Christ,” Huckabee said, adding that his decision was “a spiritual one.”
“I know I’m going to disappoint people I love,” he said. “It seriously pains me to disappoint a lot of people I love.”
“All the factors say, ‘Go,’ but my heart says, ‘no,'” Huckabee proclaimed.
Not that anyone noticed, but Huckabee hinted at a run on Sunday when Secretary Clinton announced.
.@HillaryClinton Congrats. Your announcement makes me nostalgic for our days doing political battle in Arkansas… #ImStillStanding
