Watch: Jon Stewart Demolishes The ‘Cray Cray’ Of Anti-Gay Arguments At The Supreme Court

Watch as Jon Stewart explores, mocks, and debunks some of the more crazy arguments and protests against same-sex marriage at the Supreme Court.

Jon Stewart Wednesday night took a look at some of the ridiculousness the anti-gay right tried to pull at the Supreme Court on Tuesday, as the justices heard oral arguments on same-sex marriage.

From the religious aspects, like the man outside the Court, dressed in robes, blowing a shofar (image, above), to the tried-and-failed arguments to anti-gay side made. Stewart concluded, “You Got Nothin’.”

Stewart took on the decades-old “slippery slope” attacks, like the one Justice Samuel Alito posed, concerned same-sex marriage is a gateway to polygamy.

“Why should gay people have to account for everyone who’s ever going to want to get married?,” Stewart queried. “When women fought for suffrage, no one was like, ‘Well what if one day a dog wants to vote?'”

Stewart pointedly called Chief Justice John Roberts’ argument “dumb”:

And he rightly mocked the attorney (and his “lawyer costume”) for the anti-gay side, who, Stewart suggested, wrongly believes we live in a direct democracy, not a republic.

Stewart went back to mock Chief Justice Roberts, for this…

… reminding him that marriage has always been changing. At one point it was, Stewart said, between one man and his “vagina property.”

And finally, Stewart mocked the anti-gay attorney for suggesting same-sex marriage isn’t about kids.

“Have you ever been to Park Slope?,” Stewart quipped.

Bottom line, Stewart sees same-sex marriage supporters winning come June.
