Tweet Of The Day: J.K. Rowling On Dumbledore Being Gay

Beloved Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling responded to a Twitter fan’s curiosity on how Dumbledore could be gay.

As she is wont to do occasionally, best-selling author J.K. Rowling today responded to a Harry Potter fan’s question on Twitter. 

“I wonder why you said that Dumbledore is a gay because I can’t see him in that way,” Ana Kocovic asked the Harry Potter creator.

Rowling responded with grace and a bit of sassiness.

The fan responded politely at first,

But later lamented, 

Well, it was a better response than one anti-magic obsessed mother, who re-wrote Harry Potter into evangelical fanfiction where Voldemort persecutes Christians.

Last December, Rowling responded on Twitter to fan’s question about whether there are LGBT students at Hogwarts.

And in September, Rowling offered some advice to a now-former fan angry the British novelist had announced that Dumbledore is gay.
