Gay Celebrity Blogger, Father Likens Dolce & Gabbana Anti-Gay Comments To Hate Speech

Famous gay celebrity blogger Perez Hilton, who is raising an IVF son – whom Dolce & Gabbana label “synthetic” – responds, likening their comments to hate speech.

Controversial blogger Perez Hilton appeared on MSNBC’s “The Last Word” Monday night, telling guest host Ari Melber that the anti-gay comments made by Dolce & Gabbana over the past few days are “homophobic.” He likened them to, as Melber offered, “hate speech” and the anti-Semitic comments made by former Dior designer John Galliano in 2011.

Perez says the “objective” of the boycott against the fashion icons is “to have the conversation.”

“How dare you say my family is less-than? No, my family is equal to anyone else’s. All that mattes is that you’re loving your child as much as possible, that you’re present, that you’re working on being the best parent possible.”

Hilton added that Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana are entitled to their opinion, but “you can express your point of view without doing it in a really hurtful, small-minded way.”
