FRC: Univ. Of Oklahoma Frat Members Spewed Racist Chant Because, Dan Savage
An anti-gay hate group is pushing (read: lying about) their unique (read: BS) hypothesis as the reason for a racist chant at OU.
The anti-gay hate group Family Research Council is actually trying to link a University of Oklahoma fraternity’s racist chant to LGBT activist Dan Savage.
Speaking about the actions of Sigma Alpha Epsilon (SAE) frat members who were filmed singing a racist chant in a video that quickly went viral this week, Family Research Council Senior Fellow Ken Blackwell, and Vice President Peter Sprigg rightly agreed yesterday that both Black and white students have come together to denounce the hateful act.
But Blackwell, the controversial former Ohio Secretary of State who now hawks anti-gay theories for FRC, inexplicably decided to link the racist hate speech to LGBT activist Dan Savage, who is neither an SAE fraternity member nor racist.
This weekend’s racist chant, Blackwell told Spring, comes “at a time when you have one of our nemeses, Dan Savage, who is now having his life story being portrayed on a new sitcom on ABC, you know, here’s a guy that’s responsible for the coarsening of civil discussion and conversation being celebrated, at a time when there are knuckleheads who are still spewing from their lips the sort of nonsense that we’ve heard from these fraternity members.”
