Watch: Jon Stewart Mercilessly Mocks Mike Huckabee’s Homophobia

Jon Stewart had a great time mocking Mike Huckabee’s supposedly bible-based hate of homosexuals, by asking the perfect question about bakeries.

Being a guest on Jon Stewart’s “The Daily Show” is not protection from future mockery. Take Mike Huckabee. The former Republican governor appeared on the show just two weeks ago, when Stewart slammed him for his overriding beliefs that the Southern way of life is better than the rest of America’s – or, as he put it, Bubbaville vs. Bubbleville.

Last week, Stewart took Huckabee and his fellow GOP presidential nominee wannabees to task for their ridiculous speeches at Rep. Steve King’s Iowa Freedom Summit.

And Monday night, Stewart, after lamenting the Pentagon’s reversal on classifying information about Afghanistan, rendering their gotcha story moot, Stewart turned his focus to the 59-year old Republican Southern Baptist minister’s anti-gay comments.

Stewart honed in on Huckabee’s recent claim that even if he might wish to support same-sex marriage, he just can’t because the bible won’t let him.

“Unless, you know, I get a new version of the Scriptures, it’s really not my place to say, ‘OK, I’m just going to evolve,'” Huckabee had told CNN’s Dana Bash. “It’s like asking somebody who’s Jewish to start serving bacon-wrapped shrimp in their deli.”

Stewart quipped that not all Jews are deli owners, then went on to attack Huckabee’s hypocrisy, offering up the perfect retort to all Christians who claim they can’t serve gay people because of the bible.

Do bakers ask if the bride is a virgin before baking a wedding cake for a same-sex couple, Stewart asked?

“I’m pretty sure Christian business owners, when the happy couple come to order their cake, doesn’t go, ‘Well I’d love to bake your cake, but first, hymen test!'”

And then, Stewart interviewed a “Daily Show regular” guest, “Bacon-Wrapped Shrimpy.”

But we won’t give any more away.
