One Alabama protestor immortalized his religious anti-gay hate on a cross. His ignorance, too.
Even though it’s been relatively smooth sailing today, some same-sex couples in Alabama have been met with some refusals to issue them marriage licenses, and some angry, religion-based protests, like this one captured in a photo posted to Twitter by Birmingham’s WAPI:
Jeremy Hooper at Good As You found this video of the protestor wheeling his cross around – some anti-gay crosses are just too heavy to bear alone.
Of course, the majority of Alabama residents no doubt are kind-hearted and can spell just fine, but this one protestor’s efforts succeed only in reinforcing old stereotypes.
The good news is he seems clearly outnumbered.
