Watch Live Now: Gov. Bobby Jindal’s Massive Prayer Rally Sponsored By An Anti-Gay Hate Group

Watch Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal host a Christian evangelical prayer rally and launch his presidential campaign, live.

Right now, Louisiana Republican governor Bobby Jindal is hosting a massive Christian evangelical prayer rally in Baton Rouge at Louisiana State University. It’s called “The Response: A Call To Prayer For a Nation In Crisis,” and if that sounds familiar, it should. Rick Perry did the exact same thing days before launching his presidential campaign.

The event is again being sponsored by the anti-gay hate group American Family Association, as was Gov. Perry’s.

“The event, sponsored by the conservative and controversial American Family Association,” TIME magazine reports, “aims to spiritually reawaken America in light of ‘unprecedented struggles’ the country is facing: ‘financial debt, terrorism, and a multitude of natural disasters … fatherless homes, an epidemic of drugs and crime in our inner cities, a saturation of pornography in our homes, abortion, and racism.’ The American Renewal Project, a non-profit spearheaded by conservative political operative David Lane that aims to get more Christians involved in politics, is also behind the event. Lane hopes to recruit 1,000 pastors to run for political office this campaign cycle.”

Jindal is using this Christian prayer rally to position himself as the most Christian conservative running for the White House. He also used the terror attacks in Paris as an opportunity to denounce Islam, even traveling to Europe to speak about the issue.

You can watch live on GodTV now and for much of the day.
