Sarah Palin Posts Photo Of Son Standing On Dog As ‘Stumbling Block Turned Into Stepping Stone’

Sarah Palin is under fire after she posted photos to Facebook of her son standing on the back of the family dog as an example of overcoming a “stumbling block.”

Sarah Palin’s social media team might be taking some time off this New Year’s week. The 50-year old Republican firebrand yesterday posted photos of her son Trig to Facebook that are eliciting strong commentary, and they have yet to be deleted.

The Facebook post and photos (both above) show Palin’s young son Trig stepping on the back of the family dog.

Palin described it as a “stumbling block turned into a stepping stone.”

Commenters on Facebook described it a bit differently.

“Animal abuse” wrote one.

Several felt it is a good example of conservative values – stepping on the backs on others to get what you want.

Some are calling it animal cruelty, and saying the dog should be removed from the Palin home.

And no, those critical of Palin were not only liberals…

UPDATE:
Wonkette points to this Palin post about the dog. A post on this page states the dog is not “is not a Puppy Jake Dog,” but given Palin’s rambling it’s a bit unclear where the dog is from.
