Look: First Same-Sex Couples Marry In Florida!

After a judge lifted her stay on a same-sex marriage ruling, couples have been getting licenses and marrying today in Miami, ahead of tomorrow’s state-wide lift of the ban. Photos!

While same-sex couples across the entire state of Florida can legally obtain a marriage license and marry tomorrow (if the state 3-day waiting period is waived), today couples have already begun marrying in Miami-Dade County, thanks to Judge Sarah Zabel, who lifted her stay on her July ruling in Pareto v. Ruvin, just after 11:00 AM this morning.

Here is the first couple to marry, Catherina Pareto and Karla Arguello. They are the lead plaintiffs in Pareto v. Ruvin, along with ten other couples.

Plaintiffs Vanessa and Melanie Alenier, with license:

Here are three of the 11 couples, the Aleniers, Pareto and Arguello, and on the right, Todd and Jeff Delmay.

And more!

You gotta love this great couple’s spirit!
