Fox News Host: ‘We Have Saved The Planet’ By Waging Wars Like Iraq (Video)
One Fox News host this weekend argued that thanks to America, the planet has been “saved.”
On Saturday, Fox News hosts had a lively discussion about the controversial film “American Sniper,” leading them to declare how great the United States of America is, with one concluding that America has “saved the planet.”Â
“It’s a pretty simple thing,” Charles Payne, a Fox News Business host told his Fox & Friends colleagues, “you watch the movie, he saved American lives,” he said, speaking about Navy SEAL Chris Kyle, the subject of the film. “And he went through a tough struggle to do it, but it was a job that had to be done.”
But that wasn’t enough.
“Look at the death toll that we had protecting people in a different country because that’s what America does. We’ve been the world’s policeman, and guess what’s happened over the time we’ve become the world’s policeman?,” Payne asked, answering his own question. “A billion people in other countries have moved into the middle class. We had India on TV earlier. If it wasn’t for Americans dying around the world, the rest of the world would be in abject poverty.”
“We have saved the planet,” Payne insisted, “and if we go away as policeman, it’s going to be hell to pay for everyone.”
Co-host Tucker Carlson took the opportunity to bash Michael Moore, too.
“I don’t remember him citing Jesus on abortion or gay marriage, do you? It’s so funny, the Christian Left gets almost no publicity, but, boy, are they annoying.â€
“Yeah, also known as atheists,†Payne countered.
