Aboard Air Force One this afternoon, President Barack Obama recorded a video in which he announced a new initiative he will unveil during his State of the Union speech later this month: free college.
The details are sparse, but the President says he is offering up to two years of community college to anyone who is “willing to work for it.” No word yet on what that would entail.
Cecilia Muñoz, Director of the White House Domestic Policy Council, via Twitter said the initiative would be open to about nine million people.
