Texas Pastor: ‘Relentless Dirty Faggots’ Are ‘Always Trying To Rape’ And ‘Snatch Your Children’
If this newly-minted Texas pastor sounds like the Arizona pastor who called for the genocide of gays to end AIDS, there’s a reason.
By now you’ve probably heard of Pastor Steven Anderson of Tempe, Arizona, who earlier this month called for the genocide of all gay people, claiming it would ensure an “AIDS-free” nation by Christmas.Â
Pastor Anderson’s words were roundly condemned. The New Civil Rights Movement even asked Dr. Russell Moore, a top religious leader among Southern Baptists to condemn Anderson’s words, and he did. Other local pastors did as well. And last Sunday, 100 people protested in front of Anderson’s church.
As it turns out, Pastor Anderson has been indoctrinating others with his antediluvian thinking.
Anderson, Right Wing Watch reports, “seems to have found at least one acolyte eager to help him spread his message.”
In August, Anderson ordained Pastor Donnie Romero, who then established Stedfast Baptist Church in Fort Worth, Texas, where he preached the message last Sunday that all gays should to be put to death.
In a lengthy sermon, which is excerpted below, Romero tells his congregation, “I’m not going to let any of these dirty faggots inside my church.”
“They are all pedophiles,” Pastor Romero lies. “They’re always trying to rape and hurt other people. They’re relentless. They are relentless. They are predators and given an opportunity to snatch one of your children, they would do it in a heartbeat.”
Pastor Romero has six children and founded his ministry with his wife. His biography on his church’s website says, “In 2002 at the age of 19, he was saved through door to door soul winning. He met his wife a few years later. In 2007, they started to attend an independent Baptist church and were married shortly thereafter.”
The church’s Facebook page lists it as a Fundamental Independent Baptist Church founded August 31.
Anderson’s church in Arizona was labeled an anti-gay hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center. Is Romero attempting to gain the same designation?
