Breaking: Thug GOP Congressman Michael Grimm To Resign
Admitted felon and Republican U.S. Congressman Michael Grimm, less than two months after winning re-election, will finally resign.
GOP U.S. Congressman Michael Grimm, who promised voters he was innocent and who last week admitted to felony tax fraud, will reportedly finally resign. Grimm, the only Republican Representative from New York, became well-known nationwide after threatening, on camera, to break a local reporter in half and throw him over a balcony in the capitol building, “like a boy.”
Grimm represented the people of Staten Island and parts of Brooklyn, but in April, after many months of rumors, was charged with 20 counts of fraud, federal tax evasion, and perjury. Last week, as the New York Times reported, he “pleaded guilty on Tuesday to a single felony charge of tax fraud,” but said he “absolutely” would not resign.
That all changed tonight, after news rocked the GOP that its number three man in the House, Majority Whip Steve Scalise, in 2002 had delivered a speech before a white supremacist group headed by former KKK Grand Wizard David Duke.
Calls for Scalise to resign his leadership post may have forced Republican leaders to push Grimm out.
John Boehner’s 114th Congress will include an admitted tax felon and an admitted speaker to white supremacists. #p2 #GOP #DEM #topprog

Steve Scalise needs to resign right after Michael Grimm

Agree RT @Peter_Wehner: Scalise should resign leadership. Party of Lincoln shouldn’t have as its #3 a keynoter at supremacist convention.

Boehner forced Grimm to resign. Now that Scalise has been publicly exposed as a racist, will he clean up his own leadership team? Doubtful

Gov. Cuomo, a Democrat, likely would appoint a Democrat to replace Grimm.Â
