The U.S. Department of Justice has opened a probe into the NYPD’s choke-hold killing of NYC resident Eric Garner.
NPR is reporting that “the Justice Dept has opened a federal probe into the death of Eric Garner.” MSNBC and others have confirmed this as well.
President Obama this afternoon suggested there would be an investigation when he spoke extemporaneously this afternoon and said that Attorney General Eric Holder would be speaking further on the case.Â
One interesting addition:
