Breaking: The Republicans Have Just Taken Over The US Senate
Welcome to a Republican majority in both the House and the Senate.Â
Republicans have picked up Senate seats in Arkansas, West Virginia, Montana, South Dakota, Georgia, and Colorado. North Carolina has gone to Republican Thom Tillis, with Democrat Kay Hagan losing her seat. Tea Party radical Joni Ernst, the woman who introduced herself to the nation by talking about castration, will win Iowa.
Louisiana will go to a runoff but most say Democrat Mary Landrieu will not retain her seat.
And at 11:32 PM EST, CNN projects a Republican Senate Majority. More races to go, but here we are.
