Missouri Democratic Attorney General Wastes No Time, Announces Marriage Ruling Appeal

The Attorney General for the State of Missouri immediately announced he will appeal today’s federal court ruling on marriage.

Democratic Attorney General for the ultra-conservative state of Missouri immediately announced he will appeal this morning’s federal ruling striking down the Show Me state’s ban on same-sex marriage.

In a terse statement, AG Chris Koster announced,

“The United States District Court for the Western District of Missouri today ruled that Missouri’s ban against same-sex marriage violates the equal protection and due process guarantees of the United States Constitution.

We will appeal the ruling to the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals.”

Koster is widely expected to run in 2016 to be Missouri’s next governor.
