A judge in St. Louis has ruled the Missouri ban on same-sex marriage unconstitutional.
Freedom To Marry reports “Judge Rex Burlison ruled that denying the freedom to marry to same-sex couples in Missouri is unconstitutional. The big victory, for now, applies only to St. Louis, but it paves the way for the a statewide decision and marks a historic and joyous day in the Show Me State.”
No stay was placed on his ruling.
“The Court finds and declares that any same sex couple that satisfies all the requirements for marriage under Missouri law, other than being of different sexes, is legally entitled to a marriage license,” Judge Burlison wrote.
