Tea Party Republican Senator Ted Cruz’s senior advisor and deputy chief of staff, Nick Muzin, who just happens to be a physician, sent a tweet last night blaming Ebola in the U.S. on Obamacare.
Nick Muzin, amid news last night that a doctor in New York City who had been treating Ebola patients in Guinea for Doctors Without Borders had tested positive for the deadly virus, saw fit to send out this tweet:
Muzin hours later claimed it was just a “bad joke,” but did not apologize, although he did delete the tweet quickly.
But the joke was on him, as Twitter exploded, rightly, with anger and mocking.
The problem is Muzin is a doctor and an attorney.
“Muzin earned a bachelor’s degree from Yeshiva University, an M.D. from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and a J.D. from Yale Law School,” Cruz’s website states.
And he’s been heralded by Sen. Cruz as “the ideal person to help us craft a positive, forward-looking vision for America and take that message to every corner of the country.”
