Harry Potter Author Slams Religious Anti-Gay Twitter User Angry Over Dumbledore’s Sexuality

J. K. Rowling, who created the Harry Potter series, took a moment today to offer some advice to a former fan angry the British novelist says that Dumbledore is gay.

Almost exactly seven years ago, Harry Potter creator J. K. Rowling announced to the world that Professor Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore, beloved Hogwarts headmaster, is gay.

From New York City’s Carnegie Hall, Rowling read to fans from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

“Did Dumbledore, who believed in the prevailing power of love, ever fall in love himself?,” Rowling was asked.

“My truthful answer to you… I always thought of Dumbledore as gay,” she answered.

Earlier this year, Rowling sent out this tweet:

For some unknown reason, Georgia resident Frank Fraticelli decided today to respond:

And in a rare and magical moment, Rowling replied.

Souter is an anti-gay conservative funding anti-gay legislation and politicians.

Her tweet has been favorited nearly 800 times.

Fraticelli shared his deeply-held religious beliefs: 

Rowling got a tremendous amount of support.

Fraticelli, not so much.
