Duck Dynasty Dad: STD’s Like AIDS Are God’s Punishment For Immoral Conduct Like Homosexuality
Phil Robertson is back, today claiming that sexually transmitted diseases are the punishment God renders to those who violate His moral codes — including anything not “one man-one woman” intercourse.
Hawking his new book, unPHILtered: The Way I See It, Phil Robertson spent some time talking with hate group head Tony Perkins today.Â
Sexually transmitted diseases, the “Duck Dynasty” dad said, are the punishment God gives out for violating the Bible.
“Do you think it’s a coincidence that all of these debilitating — literally that can cause death — diseases follow that kind of conduct? God says, ‘One woman, one man,’ and everyone says, ‘Oh, that’s old hat, that’s that old Bible stuff.'”
Married heterosexual couples are “not going to get chlamydia, and gonorrhea, and syphilis, and AIDS,” Robertson says.Â
He adds that “either it’s the wildest coincidence ever that horrible diseases follow immoral conduct, or, it’s God saying, ‘There’s a penalty for that kind of conduct.'”
Robertson conveniently left out married same-sex couples, who of course would not risk STD’s any more than married heterosexual couples, as long as both remain monogamous.
