Neil Patrick Harris sat with Rosie O’Donnell and Whoopi Goldberg this week and told “The View” co-hosts all the beautiful and adorable details about his wedding.

Refreshed from his run in Broadway’s “Hedwig and the Angry Inch,” and from filming the final season of “How I Met Your Mother,” Neil Patrick Harris sat down with “The View” co-hosts Rosie O’Donnell and Whoopi Goldberg on Wednesday to share stories from his wedding. The 41-year old actor, producer, singer and director won the 2014 Tony Award for Best Lead Actor in a Musical for Hedwig.Â
Harris married his partner of ten years, David Burtka, in a “small, intimate” wedding in Italy. Their four-year old twins, Gideon Scott and Harper Grace, played important roles in the ceremony.
NPH says he and Burtka married in part for their children, so they could give them a “clear-cut explanation” of their relationship.Â
“I just wanted to say nice things about David to David, in front of the people who matter most.”
“They’re important words that need to be heard by the person you’re speaking them to.”
Their children, Harris explained, performed their roles in their own special way. Harper was the flower girl, and Gideon was supposed to be the ring bearer, but decided he wanted to be the “orange boy.”
Totally adorable.
