Sarah Palin Launches 24/7 Online Video News Channel

Sarah Palin this weekend launched the Sarah Palin Channel, positioned as an online news and community channel promising to “go beyond the sound bites and cut through the media’s politically correct filter.”

For just $9.95 a month or $99.95 a year, Tea Party aficionados of the unique Sarah Palin brand can subscribe to what the former Republican Vice Presidential candidate, former (and half-term) Governor of Alaska, former chair of the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, former Mayor of Wasilla, former “Miss Congeniality,” former sportscaster, former head of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, former star of “Sarah Palin’s Alaska,” and former and current Fox News contributor calls a “news channel that really is a lot more than news,” the Sarah Palin Channel.

Chock full of Palin’s videos and op-eds, many tagged “Sample,” and many currently available for free elsewhere, the Sarah Palin Channel right up front presents two clocks — one counting up the national debt, one counting down the days until President Barack Obama’s presidency ends (906 days, by the way.)

“I want to talk directly to you, on our channel, on my terms, and no need to please the powers that be,” Palin, a paid Fox News contributor, says in her opening video (above) announcing the new enterprise. “Together, we’ll go beyond the sound bites and cut through the media’s politically correct filter.”

Variety reports that “Palin serves as executive editor, overseeing all content posted to the channel.”

The channel, based on Palin’s description, appears to be another way for the multi-millionaire to monetize and capitalize on her every movement, every public statement and appearance.
