Sarah Palin Announces She’s Ready To Bring Her ‘Real-Life Groundedness’ To ABC’s ‘The View’

Former GOP Vice Presidential nominee Sarah Palin says she’s ready to “go rogue” by joining the cast of ABC’s “The View.”

Former Republican Vice Presidential candidate, former (and half-term) Governor of Alaska, former chair of the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, former Mayor of Wasilla, former “Miss Congeniality,” former sportscaster, former head of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, former star of “Sarah Palin’s Alaska,” former and current Fox News contributor, and current co-host of the Sportsman’s channel’s “Amazing America,” Sarah Palin is now ready to try something different.

In an email interview with the Hollywood Reporter, the 50-year old Palin said she hears “everyone recently got canned from The View, maybe a show like that needs a punch of reality and a voice of reason from America’s heartland to knock some humble sense into their scripts. You know, someone willing to go rogue.”

Indeed, Barbra Walters retired, and the producers “canned” every co-host — except Whoopi Goldberg. Even the recently-hired Jenny McCarthy will be gone.

Noting that she finds the current state of today’s politics “incorrigibly disastrous!,” Palin adds she thinks it would be “so much fun to shake it up taking on issues that make audiences objectively consider all sides, and I’d do it with my own real-life groundedness, candor and commonsense that I’m known for. Media needs that today, versus the condescension that oozes from TV and radio.”

Of course, Palin neglected to mention she’s a highly-paid pundit for the Fox News channel, contributing as often as she can to the “condescension that oozes from TV and radio.”
