Pat Robertson: Gays Are Demanding Christians ‘Have Open Sex With Anybody’ Or Leave America
Pat Robertson is back to his lies in the name of Christ once again, today claiming that “the gays” are threatening Christians by demanding they have “open sex with anyone” or leave America.
On his “700 Club” TV show today, octogenarian televangelist Pat Robertson responded to the news of a Colorado baker who was found guilty of discriminating against a same-sex couple because he refused to bake them a cake for their wedding.
Reminding his viewers of the Biblical story of Sodom and Gomorrah, Robertson compared gay people to the people of Sodom.
“It has to do with the city named Sodom that was given over to all kinds of perverse sex practices — they even wanted to have sex with angels,” Robertson proclaimed. “And God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah! That’s what the term comes from — the destruction!” He added, “what our civil rights commissions and others are saying is, ‘We want to endanger our society and set it up for the judgment of God and if you Christians don’t like it then get out.â€Â
“What the gays are saying is, ‘we’re going to drive you out of town, either you conform to us or you must leave.’ That’s the message that’s being put out, it’s the same message that there was in Sodom and Gomorrah: You’re either going to have sex with angels or have open sex with anybody or else you leave, or you go out of business. That’s America, you don’t want that, do you?â€
The “700 Club “is seen daily by approximately one million viewers,” according to its website.
