After enduring many recent “traditional” marriage losses, after getting slapped down in federal court and losing to the IRS, after repeatedly being accused of “money laundering” and being found guilty unanimously of state campaign finance laws, and after an embarrassingly dismal turnout at the March for Marriage, is it time for Brian Brown to retire?
GetEQUAL seems to think so. Hours after the March for Marriage ended, GetEQUAL’s grassroots activists stood outside NOM’s gala last night and asked attendees to sign a “Happy Retirement” card for the National Organization For Marriage president. And they, of course, filmed it. Is Brown actually retiring? Not as far as we’re aware, but just how many losses can one leader have before a corporation says it’s time to go?
