Jon Stewart Slams Rick Perry: ‘Being Gay Is Not A Choice, But Being A Texas Republican Is’

‘Daily Show’ Host Also Mocks Conservatives Who Become ‘Libertarian’ After Learning Sodomy Includes Oral Sex.

Jon Stewart last night slammed conservatives over their war on gay people, and touted the myriad of recent wins for the LGBT community. The “Daily Show” host then went on to attack Texas Republicans for their treatment of gay people.

Noting the Texas Republican Party’s recent embrace of harmful so-called “ex-gay” therapy, Stewart compared it to a woman having a C-section who’s not pregnant. “You won’t find what you’re looking for, but you will leave a scar.”

Stewart then educated the audience about some of the methods so-called “reparative” therapists use, which include electrodes placed on genitals, and sniffing human waste.

And he also mocked Texas Gov. Rick Perry for his comments earlier this month comparing homosexuality to alcoholism.

“What, a public safety issue?” Stewart asked. “Worried a gay person, they’ll be out, they won’t be able to stop at one c*ck, and then after having too many c*cks, get into their gaymobile and rear-end somebody? Is that what you’re worried about?”

Stewart also slammed Texas’ unwillingness to expand Medicaid to its neediest citizens, while touting ex-gay therapy for gay people. “So, reparative therapy for gays, yes, human body reparative therapy, eh.”

“You know what’s sad? Being gay is not a choice, but being a Texas Republican is,” Stewart concluded. “So my advice is the next time you feel the urge to be a Texas Republican, to replace science textbooks with pictures of humans riding dinosaurs, or ban same-sex marriage, or put on [a GOP elephant hat], sh*t in a jar and sniff it. It won’t cure you, the science proves that. But do it anyway. Hopefully it’ll remind you of what a*sholes you’re being.”
