Larry Kramer wrote “The Normal Heart” in the early 1980s. The autobiographical off-Broadway play premiered at New York City’s famous Joseph Papp Public Theatre in 1985.
A dramatic look at the early ’80s AIDS crisis, “The Normal Heart,” was revived in 2011, and HBO made it into a film directed by Ryan Murphy for release next month.
The HBO film stars Jonathan Groff, Taylor Kitsch, Mark Ruffalo, Matt Bomer, Julia Roberts, and Jim Parsons.
