Watch: Jon Stewart Mocks Homophobia In ‘The 2014 Sochi Homophobic Olympics’

The “Daily Show” pundit examined homophobic laws and practices in Russia, India, Nigeria, and Uganda, while mocking hypocrisy around the world.

After looking at India’s re-criminalization of gay sex and reminding the world of the “traditional” sexual proclivities of the world’s largest democracy, Stewart looked at Nigeria’s elevated anti-gay law.

But the gold went to Uganda, after it recently passed the Anti-Homosexuality Bill (AHB.)

“And Uganda takes the lead — by moving backwards,” Stewart quipped.

Recognizing Nigeria’s law punishes not only gay people but anyone who doesn’t report them to law-enforcement authorities, Stewart cracked, “they’re not just going after Will, now they’re going after Grace.”

In part two, Stewart pointed out that “the gay-phobic country to beat this year is Mother Russia.” He then played the clip of Putin’s recent remarks, suggesting all gay people are pedophiles. “That has got to guarantee gold in the prestigious gay people-pedophile conflation event. What the hell was that, Putin?”

Stewart then showed Putin kissing the naked belly of a small boy. “Is that the creepy behavior you’re talking about,” he asked.

Unfortunately, Aasif Mandvi, the Daily Show’s Senior Olympics correspondent, placed Team USA on the map, including recent comments by TV’s “The Bachelor.”
