Watch live, scheduled for 2:00 PM EDT.Â
NBA Commissioner Adam Silver (image) announced at 2:18 PM EDT today that “Mr. Sterling” has been “banned for life.” He added he will do everything in his power to force Sterling to sell the team.
Contrary to an earlier report at MSNBC, Sterling is being fined the maximum, which is $2.5 million. That money will be donated to charity.
Sterling was labeled a “racist slumlord” at the press conference by a reporter from “Inside Edition.”
A Fox News reporter from “The Kelly File” asked if someone should lose their team if their remarks were made in private.
