Olympic diver Tom Daley came out in December, telling the world, “I’m dating a guy and I couldn’t be happier.†In a heartfelt YouTube video, the burgeoning celebrity also noted, “I still fancy girls but I’m dating a guy and I couldn’t be happier. It just really does feel right.”
Last night on the UK’s celebrity game show Keith Lemon’s Celebrity Juice, Daley clarified that he’s not bisexual, saying, “I am a gay man now,” E! Online reports.
“I came out on YouTube as I wanted to say what I wanted to say without anyone twisting it,” Daley explained. “I told my family before I told the world. I was terrified. I did not know what the reaction was going to be. I did it on YouTube because people were constantly digging and asking questions.”
Daley is in a relationship with screenwriter Dustin Lance Black. He says things with Black are “all good.”
Daley is getting his own UK TV show, “Tom Daley Goes Global,” a backpacking series, starting next week.
