Sarah Palin Endorses Candidate Who Brags About Her Pig Castration Skills

Sarah Palin has unleashed a flood of political endorsements worthy of Noah’s Ark ahead of the upcoming Republican primaries. It’s how she keeps her name in the news and keeps the funds for her political action committee rolling in. But the endorsements also swing the GOP and Tea Party low-information voters, who say to themselves, “Well, if they’re good enough for Sarah Palin, they’re good enough for me.” One Republican candidate who’s good enough for Sarah Palin is Joni Ernst, an Iowa Army National Guard Lt. Colonel who served in Iraq. Ernst is also an Iowa Republican state senator, but her biggest claim to fame came only this week, when she released her first political ad of her campaign for the U.S. Senate. It’s gotten almost 300,000 views on YouTube in less than three days. Watch and you’ll see why:

It opens with, “Hi, I’m Joni Ernst. I grew up castrating hogs on an Iowa farm. So when I get to Washington, I’ll know how to cut pork.” Ernst, in a statement heralding Palin’s endorsement said, “I’m proud to stand with the Mama Grizzly against big spenders in Washington like Bruce Braley and Nancy Pelosi. Sarah Palin is an inspiration to those of us who want to protect life, defend the Second Amendment, and get Washington out of our wallets. As our campaign builds energy toward a primary win in June, Sarah Palin’s roaring support will help me to victory, and as a result, make ‘em squeal in Washington.” Her website offers her position on marriage equality. “As a Christian, Joni strongly believes marriage is a religious institution, defined as a union between one man and one woman. She has already shown herself to be a defender of traditional marriage on the floor of the Iowa Senate.”

Frankly, anyone who would hurt these adorable little guys — or who would repeal Obamacare — deserves no one’s vote.
