Robin Roberts’ Coming Out Is A ‘Tragedy’ Says Right Wing Activist

var addthis_config = {“data_track_addressbar”:true};Peter LaBarbera called “Good Morning America” anchor Robin Roberts‘ announcement that she is in a long-term same-sex relationship, a “tragedy.” The president of Americans For Truth About Homosexuality (AFTAH), a certified anti-gay hate group, was interviewed by with Vic Eliason of the Voice of Christian Youth (VCY America) radio yesterday.

Claiming that “every coming out is a tragedy,” LaBarbera called it “an extra step of defiance of advocacy.” He lambasted Michelle Obama’s tweeted support of the GMA star as “sad,” criticizing the White House, President Obama, and the First Lady, who “all celebrate homosexuality.”

Last year, when talking with VCY America, LaBarbera called for the impeachment of the “dictator” Barack Obama for his “blasphemous” “celebration of homosexuality.”

Yesterday, LaBarbera added that the “homosexual so-called marriage movement is evil.”

“We need to do what Reagan did with communism,” LaBarbera told his VCY host. “We need to come right out there and say: this movement attaching the God-ordained good of marriage to an abomination which is homosexuality, calling that marriage, that’s evil, it’s an evil movement.”

“The homosexual so-called marriage movement has become a huge platform to corrupt children. Every time there’s a public display of homosexual so-called marriage, it’s telling the kids it really is marriage, that one day, if they’re a boy, they can grow up to marry a guy someday. It’s a corrupting message, it corrupts the minds and the souls of young children.”
