Pat Robertson: Aversion To Co-Worker’s Preaching About God May Be ‘Demonic’

84-year old Pat Robertson is an Evangelical Christian. Many of that brand of faith truly believe it is not only their right but their moral obligation to preach the word of God to those who have not accepted Jesus Christ as their lord and savior.

Many of these people are undeterred by hints or outright requests — from people who are of a different faith, who are agnostic, or atheist, or just don’t want to talk about God, say, in the workplace — to not intrude with their personal religious beliefs.

Count Pat Robertson as one who just cannot seem to grasp this basic fact.

Sandra, a viewer of Robertson’s “700 Club” program wrote in to ask for guidance. Her co-worker “gets openly hostile” and “very angry” when she tries to proselytize — also known as “witnessing” — and Sandra just cannot imagine why.

“Should I just abandon the idea of being a positive influence on her and just let her perish?,” Sandra asks.

Robertson — ignoring the obvious, that maybe Sandra’s co-worker does’t want to talk about God — offering some stunning analysis.

“I don’t know if you’re dealing with something that is demonic or something that is deeply ingrained,” Robertson announces. “It’s something beyond normal human experience, something has happened and she associates God — maybe she had an abusive father, somebody who raped her and then acted like he was preaching to her from the Bible, you just never know what is going on in somebody’s childhood.”

Don’t want to talk about God? Yes, you must be posed by demons, or you were raped by your father.

Yes, Pat.

Because, “you just never know.”
