An infamous Christian pastor is labeling a viral video depicting horrific anti-gay violence by Russian thugs and neo-Nazis a “hoax” perpetuated by gay Nazis. Scott Lively, currently on trial in U.S. federal court for human rights violations, has outright dismissed the video, compiled by the well-known organization Human Rights Watch.
Lively, writing on BarbWire, the new website of anti-gay religious extremist Matt Barber, tries to obtain some credibility for his inane claim by stating, “I am NOT saying all of the incidents described the video are fakes,” but concludes it is just another piece of “deceptive Machiavellian ‘gay’ propaganda.”

He then says that gay activists are “masters of public deception” whose “ranks include not just veteran political propagandists but also billionaires like George Soros and movie producer David Geffin — with the capability of staging any possible scenario flawlessly.”
Lively, who is running for Governor of Massachusetts and who also heads an anti-gay hate group listed by the Southern Poverty Law Center, offers this faux theorem:
I believe some of the incidents depicted on the film are probably real.
But that begs the question, who are these perps? Q. What sort of men go out of their way to find and harass effeminate “gay†men on the public streets? A. They are, literally, NAZIs! Ultra-Macho Nationalists, of which Russia has many. Q. And who makes up a significant part of the Nationalist movement everywhere in the world through all of modern history? A. Masculine oriented homosexual men of the very same sort that created the Nazi Party of Germany.
Lively also cites a few old news stories of gay men murdering their partners as evidence of  “‘gay on gay’ killing.”
This is, of course, not the first time Lively has claimed that the homophobic thugs and neo-Nazis perpetrating violence against gay people in Russia are, in fact, self-loathing gay people.
Lively also has claimed that “there’s a war going on between Christians and homosexuals.”
