HBO’s highly anticipated new show about three gay men in San Francisco has bombed. Variety reports that “‘Looking’ is still seeking some viewers after getting off to a slow start Sunday with just 338,000 viewers for its premiere. Adding encores later Sunday night, ‘Looking’ drew 606,000 viewers, according to Nielsen.”
And the show — which has become highly-controversial and has been highly debated in social media, including across Facebook and twitter — also seems to have hurt Lena Dunham’s “Girls” episode, which, Variety adds, “drew 799,000 viewers for its initial telecast Sunday — down from its series high of about 1.1 million the previous week.”
So, have you see “Looking”?
HBO, perhaps looking for a larger audience, posted the series premiere to YouTube on Monday. It’s garnered just 55,000 views since.
It’s not embeddable, so you’ll have to go to YouTube to see the half-hour show.

(OK. Personally, I hated it. But that’s just me.)
