Franklin Graham Cries, ‘Christians Being Attacked’ After Saying Gays ‘Recruit’ Kids For Sex

Franklin Graham, the scion of the famous 95-year old Reverend Dr. Billy Graham, spent last month claiming that gays “recruit” children into homosexuality, and adopt them for sex. Yes, he actually accused gay people of being pedophiles, and did it with a smirk of superiority.

When given the opportunity to walk back his comments on Friday at a taping for ABC News’ “This Week,” Graham not only doubled down, he roped President Obama into the mix, and hailed Vladimir Putin as the only president who is “protecting his nation’s children.”

Also on Friday, Graham spoke with NewsMax TV’s America’s Forum, proclaiming anti-Chrisitan attacks are “rising around the globe.” Graham then slammed the “entertainment industry, especially in certain segments of the news media,” crying, “Christians are being attacked.”

Graham went on to say, “I think we’re going to see real persecution of Christians and Jews in the years to come.”

Right Wing Watch notes that “Religious Right activists have been keen to conflate criticism and even tough questions with persecution.”

Case in point: The New Civil Rights Movement last week called out Dr. Richard Land for his ugly and wrong claim that, “the dirty little secret that nobody wants to talk about is that a high percentage of adult male homosexuals in America were sexually molested when they were children.”

(We also called Dr. Land directly and left a message — he never returned our call.)

Land, president of the Southern Evangelical Seminary, was strongly suggesting that gay people became gay because thy were sexually abused as children, and turn around and sexually abuse children. In short, Land painted an incorrect and nasty image of gays as pedophiles, despite facts to the contrary — just as the American Psychological Association has made clear.

On Twitter, the Southern Evangelical Seminary, of which Land is president, called out a New Civil Rights Movement reader for as “intolerant” for calling out Land:

To some Christian extremists, facts are intolerance, facts are persecution.

Watch: Trump Jr. Falsely Accuses Democrats of Hoping Coronavirus ‘Kills Millions’ to End President’s ‘Streak of Winning’

Donald Trump Jr. is once again attacking Democrats, this time accusing them of politicizing the impending coronavirus pandemic as a means to harm his father, the President.

“For them to try to take a pandemic and seemingly hope that it comes here and kills millions of people so that they can end Donald Trump’s streak of winning, is a new level of sickness,” Trump Jr. told “Fox & Friends” Friday morning.

There are no reports of Democrats saying they hope coronavirus kills millions of Americans.

“I don’t know if this is coronavirus or Trump derangement syndrome but these people are infected badly,” he added. “It’s truly sick.”

Mick Mulvaney Goes Nuts at CPAC and Accuses Media of Hyping Coronavirus to Bring Down Trump: ‘That’s What It’s All About’

White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney told the audience at the Conservative Political Action Conference on Friday that the media is only covering the spread of coronavirus because it’s out to get President Donald Trump.

According to the New York Times’ Annie Karni, Mulvaney accused the American media of using coronavirus as a political weapon, despite the fact that concerns about the virus led Japan to shut down its schools for at least a month.

“They think this will bring down the president,” Mulvaney said. “That’s what it’s all about.”

He then downplayed the health risks to Americans who contract the virus by arguing that the virus won’t kill everyone who contracts it.

“It’s not a death sentence,” he said. “It’s not the same as the Ebola crisis.”

In fact, it’s estimated that the mortality rate from contracting coronavirus is two percent, which is why several governments across the world are taking significant measures to protect their people from getting infected.

Trump Isn’t Managing the Coronavirus Crisis or Anything Else – He Just Spent an Hour in the White House With Diamond & Silk

President Donald Trump isn’t doing anything except campaigning. Inside the Oval Office or outside the White House, Trump is only doing those things he think will help him get re-elected.

Take Thursday. Less than 24 hours after holding a 75-minute press conference, lying about – actually minimizing – the coronavirus threat, Trump has done nothing to reassure Americans or the markets. He has done nothing to amp up the federal government’s response to the impending pandemic.

What did Trump do?

Earlier: Trump Tried to Halt Stock Market Free Fall. He Lied About Coronavirus. The DOW Just Had the Biggest One-Day Drop in History.

He spent over a hour hanging out with right wing activists including “Diamond & Silk,” and Candace Owens, the former Turning Point USA communications director who left the college group after appearing to defend Hitler.

Here’s Bloomberg News’ Josh Wingrove:

But this was not the only thing Trump did on Thursday.

Right before his hour with Diamond and Silk and Candace Owens, then President spent 45 minutes meeting with “the cast of a bizarre right-wing play dramatizing the supposed ‘deep state’ plot at the FBI to frame Trump in the Russia investigation,” as Raw Story reports.

“We went for a 15 minute meeting that took 45 minutes, the playwright, Phelim McAleer, said. “We were there for 45 minutes in the Oval Office, and he loves it, he loves the play.”

Wingrove adds:

Friday Trump heads to South Carolina to campaign.
