Car Owned By Murdered Houston Lesbian Couple Found — Could This Be Needed Evidence?

Early last month the nation was stunned upon learning news of the double-murder of young Houston couple Britney Cosby and Crystal Jackson. Their bodies were discovered in the early morning hours by a beer deliveryman, stashed behind a convenience store dumpster. Also stunning was the news, just days later, that the father of one of the victims was arrested for tampering with evidence surrounding their murders, and police actually said they expected to charge him with the murders.

Cosby was just 24-years old, and died of blunt force trauma, according to police, who also reported Jackson, also 24, died of a gun shot to her head. The couple had been raising Jackson’s five-year old daughter. At the time of the murder, police were looking for the couple’s car, but never found it — until now.

A Houston police officer not investigating the case accidentally found the car in a vehicle storage lot, according to the Houston Chronicle:

An employee at DeWitt Wrecker Service asked the officer to check the vehicle, which had been picked up without license plates, according to the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office.

The SUV previously had been recovered from the parking lot of Ritz Cabaret in the 10520 block of the Gulf Freeway. Management had called a wrecker service to tow the vehicle.

The vehicle is currently being processed for evidence, which will be submitted to the FBI for analysis.

This might be the break law enforcement officers need to obtain evidence to charge James Larry Cosby, Jr., father of Britney Cosby, with the murders — or not. He is currently in jail in lieu of $500,000 bail.

James Cosby, it was revealed, is also a registered sex offender.
