Breaking: Sandra Fluke Files Papers To Run For Congress

Last week feminist activist and social justice attorney Sandra Fluke acknowledged she was considering a run for Congress. The 32-year old made a name for herself by standing up for women’s healthcare rights — only to be called a “slut” by right wing misogynist Rush Limbaugh.
Papers have now been filed for Fluke to run for Congress, in California, for the seat of 20-term Democratic icon Henry Waxman, the Washington Post reports. Waxman announced recently he will not seek re-election.
On Twitter, the hashtag #RunSandraRun is being used to fuel support. Fluke is also on Twitter,@SandraFluke.
