Breaking: GOP-Led Indiana House Passes Anti-Gay Marriage Bill

The Republican-led Indiana House just minutes ago passed HJR3, a bill that would put on the ballot a constitutional ban on same-sex marriage. The controversial and likely unconstitutional legislation passed by a vote of 57-40, and now moves to the Indiana Senate.

Because of the nature of the legislation — it’s a constitution amendment — and because yesterday the House added an amendment to the bill, the momentum has possibly slowed. It may or may not be put to the voters this November.
