var addthis_config = {“data_track_addressbar”:true};FRC’s Peter Sprigg is flexing his anti-gay muscles via Twitter as he carpetbags his way into the Hoosier state to advance his agenda of bigotry and hate.
Peter Sprigg of the Family Research Council is in Indiana today testifying in support of writing discrimination and bigotry into that state’s constitution. Sprigg’s comments, of course, are among the top reasons the Family Research Council was “awarded” the label of anti-gay hate group, after he told MSNBC’s Chris Matthews that he’s rather deport gay people than allow them to stay in the United States.
The Indiana Senate Rules Committee is hearing testimony now on HJR3, the bill that’s already passed the full House. The bill would ban same-sex marriage in Indiana’s constitution, and goes so far as to banning civil unions and domestic partnerships.
So, Sprigg tweeted this ridiculous comment his afternoon, just minutes ago:
It’s illogical for SS couples who have always lived in a state that has never had #SSM to say they will leave if #HJR3 passes.

Of course, every single one of the responses are far better and more “logical” than Sprigg’s own bigotry and anti-gay hate:

Then, Sprigg continued:
Argument that even to have a debate on #marrriage would be wrong is chilling. What about democracy? #Indiana #HJR3

Those who want to CHANGE the definition of marriage are responsible for a “divisive debate,” not those who would preserve it. #HJR3

Let me say this for the record–homosexuals are NOT “2nd-class citizens”–nor are single, divorced, widowed, or any other unmarried people.

#HJR3 is about what #marriage is–not about who homosexuals are. #Indiana
