‘The Principles America Was Founded On’ Include Paying The ‘Mentally-Retarded’ $2 An Hour?

The Daily Show’s Samantha Bee does an excellent job of exposing the hypocrisy falsehoods spewed by America’s ugliest, well, hypocrites and falsehood-spewers.
On Tuesday, Bee interviewed financial commentator and Euro Pacific Capital CEO Peter Schiff, who, on his own website, declares he is “becoming increasingly more renowned.”
He’ll likely be even more renowned after this Daily Show segment.
Schiff claims that increasing the minimum wage will increase unemployment — a false argument, according to Bee’s other expert — and that no one in a capitalistic society like America ever goes hungry.
Also, Schiff — an “expert on money, economic theory, and international investing,” and “an economic advisor to the 2008 Ron Paul presidential campaign” — says that only teens work at McDonald’s, and that the “mentally retarded” should work for $2 an hour, because, according to the Daily Show’s video, Schiff says those are “the principles the country was founded on.”
Schiff is the author of The Real Crash: America’s Coming Bankruptcy—How to Save Yourself and Your Country.
The video actually does an excellent job of making the case for increasing the minimum wage, and to more than President Obama’s suggested $10.10 an hour.
